Ellen Weichert provides administrative support to the associate director of the Texas Water Resources Institute and project director of the Rio Grande Basin Initiative. She serves as the liaison with Rio Grande Basin Initiative personnel in budgeting, purchasing and staff issues. In addition, she coordinates meetings and conferences, and prepares related materials.
Before joining the Texas Water Resources Institute in September 2001, Weichert was the administrative assistant to the associate director for agricultural sciences for Texas Cooperative Extension and to the assistant vice chancellor for the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. She recently completed twenty-one years of service within the Texas A&M University System.
Weichert earned a bachelor of science degree in sociology from Texas A&M University.
