As the communications coordinator for the Texas Water Resources Institute, Kathy Wythe provides leadership for TWRI communications, including newsletters, brochures, presentations, media relations and special projects.
Before joining TWRI in July 2005, Wythe was a staff assistant in A&M’s biochemistry and biophysics department. From 2001-2004 she was a lecturer in the department of journalism, teaching media writing and news gathering courses. Wythe has also served as community relations coordinator for a large county hospital in West Texas and is a former news reporter.
Wythe received her bachelor of arts degree in zoology from Texas Tech University and her master of arts degree in journalism from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri.
