TWRI Welcomes New Faces

Kevin Wagner joined the Texas Water Resources Institute in July 2005 as a project manager in charge of directing 319 projects funded by the Environmental Protection Agency through the Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board and Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. He oversees the development of project research and educational programs, and is responsible for project reporting.

Wagner previously served as the nonpoint source team leader for the Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Howard Payne University and Master of Science degree in environmental science from Oklahoma State University.

Kathy Wythe began at Texas Water Resources Institute in July 2005 as the communications coordinator. Wythe will provide leadership for TWRI communications, including newsletters, brochures, presentations, media relations and special projects.

Before joining TWRI Wythe was a staff assistant in Texas A&M’s biochemistry and biophysics department. From 2001-2004 she was a lecturer in the department of journalism, teaching media writing and news gathering courses. Wythe has also been a community relations coordinator for a large county hospital in West Texas and a former news reporter.

Wythe earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in zoology from Texas Tech University and Master of Arts degree in journalism from the University of Missouri.
