Short course in Bandera draws a crowd

The third Texas Watershed Planning Short Course was held Aug. 17-21 at the Mayan Dude Ranch in Bandera, with more than 44 water professionals attending. The course is sponsored by the Texas Water Resources Institute and funded by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

The goal of the weeklong course is to equip watershed coordinators and water professionals with the tools they need to plan, coordinate, and implement watershed protection efforts. The course covers partnership building; identifying solutions; watershed characterization and designing an implementation program.

The next short course is scheduled for May 10-14, 2010.
