As a post-doctoral research associate, Dr. Andrew Campomizzi provides scientific support for the institutes’ research in ecology and conservation. He works with the institutes’ Research and Management System for Endangered Species team to improve ecological understanding of endangered species to develop management applications to aid species recovery in Texas and beyond.
Before joining the Texas A&M Institute of Renewable Natural Resources in March 2011, Campomizzi was a doctoral student and Tom Slick Senior Graduate Fellow in Texas A&M University's Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences, researching avian ecology. Campomizzi has also worked on various research projects on species of conservation concerns, from the endangered Delmarva fox squirrel in Virginia to migratory songbirds in California.
