As an AgriLife Extension program specialist with the institutes, Brian Hays provides leadership for the market-based conservation programs as well as works on watershed management, native grassland restoration, military land management, prescribed burning and wildlife habitat enhancement programs.

Before joining the Texas A&M Institute of Renewable Natural Resources in 2006, Hays worked in the Extension program units of Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences and Rangeland Ecology and Management at Texas A&M University.

Hays received his bachelor of science in rangeland ecology and management and his master of science in rangeland ecology and management, both at Texas A&M.
