As training program coordinator for the institutes, Courtney Smith collaborates with faculty and academia to develop, coordinate and market water and natural resources-related training courses. She organizes and executes the institutes’ training programs, handling training logistics, developing materials, marketing the program and administering continuing education credits. Smith also is a member of the communications team contributing to the institutes’ magazine, newsletters and various other communication outlets.

Before joining the Texas Water Resources Institute in June 2008, Smith was a tournaments/special events coordinator. She received a bachelor of science in agricultural journalism from Texas A&M University.
