As the Texas AgriLife Extension Service assistant for the Arroyo Colorado Watershed Program, Donnie Valdez works with Texas AgriLife Extension Service County agents and specialists, federal and state agency personnel and local landowners to develop and deliver Extension education programs focused on sustainable best management practices for South Texas farmers and ranchers. He oversees activities such as the South Texas Soil Testing Campaign, and the implementation of Water Quality Management Plans.    

Valdez earned his bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University.
