The new Take Care of Texas website, produced by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, recently launched and provides a variety of resources for Texans.

Ranging from general information about environmental programs to specific, step-by-step instructions that address common environmental situations, the site covers water conservation, water quality, air quality, and waste reduction and recycling. Take Care of Texas’ animated house shows ways to conserve water and energy, keep air and water clean, reduce waste and save money.

Teachers, children and teens can all find specialty resources on the site.

Take Care of Texas has also recently invited entries to its video contest, open to middle and high school students. Prizes include scholarships and cameras, and entries are due by Dec. 16.
