Lesikar receives Texas A&M Regents Fellow Service Award

At the December Texas A&M University Board of Regents meeting, Dr. Bruce Lesikar was honored with the Texas A&M Regents Fellow Service Award for his work with the Texas AgriLife Extension Service. Lesikar is an AgriLife Extension agricultural engineering specialist, and professor and associate department head for the Texas A&M department of biological and agricultural engineering.

"Bruce Lesikar is a colleague among the best at fulfilling the extension and land-grant university mission to serve the people of Texas and beyond," said Dr. Ed Smith, AgriLife Extension director.

Lesikar’s 17-year AgriLife Extension career has focused on the efficient use and management of water resources by delivering "the best science-based information to the people of Texas and beyond for accessing the water they need, while protecting the environment, public health and public safety," according to nomination documents.
