Attendees are asked to RSVP at tx.ag/RSVPNov17, or by calling or call 979-314-8049, by Nov. 14. Participants are not required to have attended prior meetings, and anyone interested can review notes and presentations from previous meetings at davidson.twri.tamu.edu/meetings/.

Meeting details

The event is hosted by the Davidson Creek Watershed Partnership in collaboration with Burleson County AgriLife Extension and aims to discuss the contents required to fully draft a WPP. These include education and outreach planning and events, implementation of management measures, technical and financial resources, and measuring the success of the WPP. Attendees will be essential in contributing to the discussion on making the WPP most effective for the Davidson Creek watershed.

This is the final meeting prior to drafting the remaining chapters of the WPP, and then releasing the plan for public comments. There will be an additional meeting in January of 2026 to address any public comments received on the WPP and finalize the document for agency review.

“Public input is strongly encouraged,” said Amanda Tague, TWRI research specialist with Texas A&M AgriLife Research, Bryan-College Station. “Your voice and involvement are critical to the success of this plan.”

Funding for developing the Davidson Creek WPP is provided by the Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board through the State Nonpoint Source Grant Program. TWRI is an AgriLife Research unit that combines expertise across The Texas A&M University System
