This article describes a preliminary study exploring the possibility of using flood storage in Joe Pool Lake. Flood storage could improve water supply reliability and achieve better cost-efficiency in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.

The Texas Water Journal
The journal is an online, peer-reviewed publication by the nonprofit the Texas Water Journal and the Texas Water Resources Institute. It publishes papers as they are completed. It is devoted to the timely consideration of Texas water resources management, research and policy issues. The journal takes a multidisciplinary perspective that integrates science, engineering, law, planning and other disciplines. It also provides updates on key state legislation and policy changes by Texas administrative agencies.
