Texas Water Journal publishes new article in Volume 17

The Texas Water Journal has published a new article in Volume 17, titled “Establishment of Native Vegetation Following Dredging of Torpedograss (Panicum repens) Above a Run-of-River Dam in a Central Texas Spring Run,” by Jeffrey T. Hutchinson, Scott Gardner, and Analisa Saenz.

Torpedograss (Panicum repens L.) is a highly invasive grass that is difficult to control in aquatic environments. In Central Texas, dredging was used to remove torpedograss above a run-of-river dam.

This study evaluated the success of replanting native aquatic, riparian, and terrestrial plants following the dredging of sediment accumulation to remove torpedograss above the run-of-the-river dam.
