The Texas Water Resources Institute water team has grown this spring with the addition of two new members.
Juliana Symons is a program specialist at TWRI, where she works with the field monitoring team to collect surface water quality data to support watershed assessment, planning and water resource management projects. She also assists with data management and quality assurance for ongoing monitoring initiatives.
Juliana earned her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science with a minor in Biology from the University of the Incarnate Word in 2024. She plans to pursue a master’s degree in a natural resources–related field in the future.
Madeleine Spencer is also a program specialist for TWRI. Madeleine supports projects focused on watershed protection and management, implementation, stakeholder engagement, community collaboration and water quality monitoring across Texas.
Madeleine earned dual bachelor’s degrees in both Natural Resources and Environmental Science & Community Leadership and Development from the University of Kentucky in 2024.
