Matthew Crawford is a geospatial specialist for the Texas A&M Natural Resources Institute and Texas Water Resources Institute. As part of the Geospatial Analytics Team, Matt provides support and expertise related to spatial technologies to the Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension programs associated with the institutes. He supports the goals of the institutes by assisting staff with maps for presentations, project deliverables and other products.
Matt also develops and maintains spatial geodatabases. He develops and publishes web maps and mobile applications while administering NRI’s Portal for ArcGIS map server, and provides technical support and administration for the Texas A&M University ArcGIS Online account.
Matt joined the institutes in September 2013 and has been in the geospatial science and technology industry for over 15 years.
He received his bachelor’s from Texas Tech University and master’s degree from Texas Tech in range science and GIS in 2008.
