Loren Henley joins TWRI

Loren Henley is the newest team member at the Texas Water Resources Institute (TWRI). 

Joining TWRI’s business team as a grant administrator this month, Henley assists and provides support for pre- and post-award processes and grant proposal submission. She reviews proposals, agreements, budgets and various proposal and project documents and serves as a liaison with Texas A&M Sponsored Research Services. 

Before joining TWRI, Henley served as a non-point source project manager for the Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board. As a project manager, she was involved in watershed protection plans, including Geronimo and Alligator creeks and the Concho River. She has also served on the Texas Invasive Species Coordination Committee and the Texas Groundwater Protection Committee - Public Information and Education. Henley has been involved in water quality and agriculture for the last 17 years. 

She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in general agriculture from Sam Houston State University. She enjoys the sport of rodeo and participating in barrel racing and breakaway roping. Loren resides in Madisonville and is proud to be an Aggie mom.
