TWRI hiring Research Assistant and Extension Program Specialist

The Texas Water Resources Institute (TWRI) currently has two job openings in its water team, which provides leadership and support for various watershed assessment, planning, management and education programs around the state.

  • The Extension Program Specialist I will facilitate, coordinate, and collaborate with program partners to deliver outreach education events in targeted areas across the state, including marketing, publicity, logistics, program delivery, and survey evaluations; and assist with data collection, analysis, and interpretation for the development of, watershed protection plans, total maximum daily loads (TMDLs), and TMDL Implementation Plans.   • The Research Assistant will gather and assess watershed-based data to establish a needed understanding of current conditions; facilitate, coordinate, and collaborate with watershed stakeholders to relay information and develop watershed management strategies to restore water quality in targeted areas across the state; and lead the development of watershed-based plans and work with watershed stakeholders to refine and implement these plans.
