The Texas Water Research Network (TWRN), part of the Environmental Science Institute at the University of Texas, will meet Sept. 13-15 in Austin and the meeting is open to anyone interested. Registration is free.
The meeting will cover sessions on Texas Water Markets, A New Era of Flooding – Challenges for Large Municipalities and Water Resilience Challenges in Small Municipalities and Rural Communities.
Since 2015, the TWRN has been bringing together researchers and stakeholders to address the grand challenges related to water resilience given the dual drivers of climate change and rapid urban growth. Networkwide meetings are held every six to 12 months to provide network members in shared experiences of learning and dialogue about topical issues and ways of linking science with management and policy. Network members are from 40 academic, research, government, nonprofit and commercial institutions.
