In May’s issue of Texas+Water, Dr. Rosario Sanchez, TWRI senior research scientist, was interviewed by Editor-in-Chief Dr. Todd Votteler. She is the principal investigator for the Texas portion of the Transboundary Aquifer Assessment Program. Her work is to integrate, develop and create research and data on transboundary aquifers between Mexico and the United States, particularly with Texas.
Sanchez, who is also an associate graduate faculty in the Water Management and Hydrological Science Program at Texas A&M University, has 15 years of academic and work experience on transboundary issues between Mexico and the United States. She has recently published the only complete study on transboundary aquifers between Mexico and Texas. She is now working on developing models for cooperation and management of transboundary aquifers between Mexico and the United States.
