The Texas Water Resources Institute, or TWRI, is seeking applicants for an open research associate position to help pursue TWRI’s goals of supporting watershed planning and water quality research.
The position is a full-time staff position for a research associate. Duties will center on gathering and assessing watershed data, leading the development of watershed-based plans to restore water quality in target watersheds, and coordinating and collaborating with watershed stakeholders as well as developing stakeholder relationships.
Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in an applicable agricultural, engineering, and/or water resources field, plus two or more years of related watershed assessment experience. Proficiency with GIS mapping, statistical assessment and appropriate laboratory equipment is required.
