loren.henley@ag.tamu.eduAs a grant administrator for the Texas Water Resources Institute, Loren Henley assists and provides support for pre- and post-award processes and for grant proposal submission. She reviews proposals, agreements, budgets and various proposal and project documents and serves as liaison with Texas A&M Sponsored Research Services.
Before joining TWRI, Loren served as a non-point source project manager for the Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board. As part of being a project manager, Loren was involved in watershed protection plans such as Geronimo and Alligator Creeks and Concho River. She has served on the Texas Invasive Species Coordination Committee and the Texas Groundwater Protection Committee Public Information and Education. Loren has been involved in water quality and agriculture for the last 17 years.
Loren earned a Bachelor of Science degree in general agriculture from Sam Houston State University. She enjoys the sport of rodeo and participating in barrel racing and breakaway roping. Loren resides in Madisonville and is proud to be an Aggie mom. Her daughter just recently started at Texas A&M and is majoring in Ag Economics.
