Chantal Cough-Schulze
Communications Specialist III
As a communications specialist for Texas Water Resources Institute (TWRI), Chantal Cough-Schulze worked with the institute’s communications team to increase visibility and understanding of water science and management issues in Texas and beyond. She wrote articles for and edited txH2O magazine and TWRI's news section, developed TWRI multimedia materials and edited reports and education and outreach materials. She also served as the managing editor for the Texas Water Journal.
Prior to joining TWRI, Chantal worked as a photographer, audio producer and science education program developer. Chantal received a Bachelor of Science in biocultural anthropology with a minor in fisheries and wildlife science from Oregon State University and a Master of Science in science and technology journalism from Texas A&M University. In her free time, Chantal enjoys hiking, biking, dancing, singing, boxing and gardening. She now works as a freelance science writer, editor and audio producer.
