Anya was a graduate research assistant at the Texas Water Resources Institute and primarily supported water quality monitoring projects.

She is pursuing a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering at Texas A&M University. Anya's research focuses on direct Photolysis by UV-LED and Indirect Photolysis by UV-Chlorine of Cyanotoxin Microcystin.

Anya received a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from Texas A&M.
