Arifa Sultana is a Graduate Research Assistant at the Texas Water Resources Institute and a Ph.D. student in Civil and Environmental Engineering at Texas A&M University.

Her research delves into the Water-Energy-Food Nexus, with a focus on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), aiming to develop integrated strategies that support sustainable resource management. She completed her Master’s in Water Resources Engineering at Texas A&M University emphasizing water security, flood modeling, and urbanization impacts on flooding.

She has accumulated valuable experience in roles such as a Graduate Student Worker at the Texas A&M Transportation Institute, where she contributed to a project involving non-contact radar stream gauges. Her work emphasizes sustainable solutions, bridging policy and technical practice to address critical global challenges
