As a research associate for the Texas Water Resources Institute, Amanda works with the field monitoring team and assists with various watershed protection and management projects.
She is currently pursuing a master’s degree through Texas A&M University’s Water Management and Hydrological Sciences program and is set to graduate in August 2023. Her degree emphasis is on groundwater, water law and surface water geochemistry. She was the acting student president of the Texas A&M Water Network, a student chapter of the Texas section of the American Water Works Association for two years. During that time, she worked with fellow students to improve communication among students, private and public water sectors.
Amanda received her bachelor's degree in geology from Texas A&M University in 2019. In her free time, she enjoys painting, exploring coffee shops around town and using the iPhone app, Naturalist, to identify Texas plants and animals.
