As an Extension assistant for the Texas Water Resources Institute, Victor Gutierrez worked on the Arroyo Colorado Watershed Protection Plan, specifically on the Cost Share Education project. He worked with project members to coordinate and facilitate the local activities of the project, including working with local commodity groups and AgriLife Extension county agents to plan and implement field days and educational meetings about the project.

Gutierrez joined the institute in July 2015. Prior to joining the institute, he was a research assistant with Texas A&M University-Kingsville under Dr. Greta Schuster.

Gutierrez earned a Bachelor of Science in general agriculture with a minor in plant science at Texas A&M-Kingsville.
