TWRI in 2024: By the numbers

The Texas Water Resources Institute (TWRI) continued to lead and innovate in 2024, and welcomed new TWRI Director Giovanni Piccinni, Ph.D., to the institute. TWRI provides science-based, community-supported solutions for Texas’ pressing water challenges through internal expertise and external collaborations.

  • 17,193 contact hours TWRI staff spent educating professionals and the public at 95 events

  • 2,635 total contact hours at 17 TWRI-hosted trainings with 432 attendees
