Danielle Kalisek

danielle.kalisek@ag.tamu.edu (979) 314-2693Danielle Kalisek is the Assistant Director for Institute Operations for the Texas Water Resources Institute. In this role, she manages institute business, particularly the pre-award through account setup processes and state and designated accounts. She also coordinates communications and websites services and needs for the institute.
On the business side, Danielle oversees the proposal and budget development and submission process, serving as a liaison between the institute and Texas A&M’s Sponsored Research Services. She helps facilitate awards through the funding and approval process and assists with post-award monitoring and business activities.
Danielle is in close coordination with the communications team, particularly working with the TWRI Communications Manager prioritizing communications projects for the institute and coordinating with Texas A&M Marketing and Communications and AgriLife Research Cloud Services within AgriLife IT.
Danielle joined TWRI in 2005 where she started in a TWRI communications position and then moved into project management. Since 2013 she has been involved in program management, grant administration and business activities, which led into her current role. Before joining TWRI, during college Danielle was a student worker for Texas A&M AgriLife Communications, now Texas A&M Marketing and Communications. She received a Bachelor of Science in journalism from Texas A&M University in 2004. In 2020, she received her certification as a Certified Research Administrator (CRA).
In her free time, Danielle enjoys spending time with her two sons and husband playing ball, cooking, being outside, relaxing watching Hallmark movies, and going camping.
